Mr. Big Shot. Six seasons in Detroit, one Finals MVP, the calmest man in any arena.

Acquired in summer 2002 after journeyman stops at five other franchises. Detroit was where he stopped journeymaning. Three All-Star games as a Piston, the 2004 Finals MVP, the steadiest point guard in the league for the back half of the 2000s.

Took every big shot. Made enough of them that the rest stopped feeling like misses. The 2004 Finals were his coronation; the five years that followed were his prime, and the Pistons went to the conference finals in every one of them.

Took 2004 Finals MVP. Years later he ran a franchise. Years after that he was the head coach of Portland. Detroit was the place that finally let him be who he was.
